Dr. Mardiana Idayu Ahmad received her PhD in Sustainable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and is currently an Associate Professor in Environmental Technology, School of Industrial Technology at Universiti Sains Malaysia. She is a Fellow of the World Society on Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET). Her research expertise spans environmental technology, sustainable energy systems, environmental management, and bio-based micro-nano materials for advanced environmental applications. She has led and co-led numerous national and international research grants, including collaborative projects. Dr. Ahmad has published over 200 scholarly works, including indexed journal articles, research books, book chapters, and conference papers, with strong contributions to sustainable energy, life cycle assessment, biofuel development, and environmental materials. She is also actively involved in authoring university-level and international research books that support both academic and societal needs. She is frequently invited as a speaker at established international conferences, contributing to global discourse on sustainability, green technology, and environmental innovation. Beyond academia, she has provided consultancy services in sustainable energy and environmental technology, working closely with industry and government agencies to translate research into real-world applications.
