Suzanna Elmassah

Suzanna Elmassah is a Professor of Economics and Sustainability at Cairo University and Zayed University. She is the Founder of the Sustainability Program at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Zayed University (UAE). With more than 25 years of experience across academia, consulting, and policy practice, her work focuses on sustainable development, green and circular economy transitions, climate finance, and the localization of the SDGs in the MENA region. She has led and contributed to numerous research projects and publications on eco-industrial parks, sustainable finance, and the socio-economic impacts of digital and green transformations. Prof. Elmassah is a Fellow of the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA). Professor Emassah co-leads the University's Climate Network - Communal Pillar and is the founder of a university-wide Sustainability Club that promotes youth engagement, community outreach, and evidence-based climate action.
