Dr. Abdolreza Farhadian is an Associate Professor at Kazan Federal University (Russia) and a
distinguished researcher recognized among the Top 2% of Scientists worldwide in both 2024 and
2025. His research focuses on gas storage, particularly advancing solidified natural gas
technologies through the development of novel additives. He also works extensively on corrosion
inhibition and hybrid strategies for managing hydrate and corrosion risks in oil and gas pipelines.
His work spans methane and hydrogen storage, CO₂ capture using clathrate hydrates,
environmentally friendly oilfield reagents, and the development of bio-based materials for energy
applications. Dr. Farhadian has contributed to major industrial and governmental research projects,
and authored numerous high-impact publications. In 2024, he was appointed head of the joint
research laboratory between Kazan Federal University and Dalian University of Technology,
strengthening international collaboration in advanced energy storage research. Dr. Farhadian also
contributes to the scientific community through editorial board roles (Journal of Pipeline Science
and Engineering) and advisory positions, continuing to advance sustainable approaches to energy
storage and flow assurance.
